Vivendi launches Eragon for mobiles
Side-scrolling movie tie-in now on sale
Vivendi Games Mobile has announced the launch of movie tie-in Eragon across Europe and the US.
It's based on the hit movie of the same name, which in turn is based on the best-selling book by 16 year-old Christopher Paolini. More than 2.5 million copies of the novel have been sold worldwide, and the film, which hit cinemas on December 15, has taken USD 200 million at the box office. Vivendi has also published a tie-in game for PC, consoles and handhelds.
The mobile phone game is a side-scrolling action adventure featuring both land and air combat. Players take on the role of the story's hero, and get to ride his dragon, Saphira. There are various game paths to choose from and players can customise their character, deciding whether to build up their fighting or magic skills.
Eragon has been developed by French studio Kaolink and is out now.
