V1 Interactive is officially closing its doors
Studio co-founder Marcus Lehto says it will be giving employees "ample time" to search for new jobs
V1 Interactive, the developer of sci-fi FPS Disintegration, announced that it is officially closing today.
"We want to thank all the talented people at V1, both past and present, who helped make the last five years wonderful," the studio's statement reads.
V1 Interactive president and Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto tweeted that the studio has been transparent with its employees about "the state of things" for months and will be giving them "ample time" to search for new jobs while being supported by the studio.
Lehto co-founded V1 Interactive in 2014, and the studio later partnered with Take-Two Interactive's independent publishing label Private Division, alongside Panache Digital and Obsidian Entertainment.
Its debut game, Disintegration, launched in June 2020, though its multiplayer component was shuttered months later after it failed to build a significant online audience.
