Rovio signs Angry Birds ad deal with Venatus Media

Exclusive rights to represent Rovio Media in EMEA territories

Ad sales company Venatus Media has secured exclusive right to represent Rovio Media in EMEA territories.

"Venatus Media's expertise in gaming, creativity and commitment to their partners makes them the perfect partner for Rovio," said global head of partnerships and advertising at Rovio, Paul Chenier.

"We are extremely proud of our capabilities and track record in the European market and are excited to have Venatus take us forward, and to expand our footprint in this incredibly important market."

Some of the other brands Venatus has worked with include PlayStation, Activision, Ubisoft, EA Mobile, Spil Games, Stardoll and Miniclip.

"We're looking forward to working with such a well-loved gaming specialist like Rovio," added Venatus Media co-founder Rob Gay.

"The sales team are huge fans of Angry Birds and we believe that with our passion for gaming and Rovio's substantial reach and unique IP we can bring many global brands to their ad platform."

In August 2015 sequel Angry Birds 2 hits 20 million downloads in week one and became the most downloaded app in over 100 territories worldwide.
