Relentless rallies for Black Rock in Brighton

Buzz developer supporting local talent with informal meetings

Buzz developer Relentless Software is holding an open session at its offices today to meet those affected by the recent layoffs at Disney's Black Rock Studio.

Disney confirmed last week it was letting a number of staff go, with expectations of over 100 redundancies as a result of less investment in console games.

"As part of the Brighton development community we were gutted to hear the news, so we thought it would be a good idea if we opened our doors so people could come and meet the team, see our office and ask us some questions," Stuart Dodman, operations director at Relentless told GamesIndustry.biz.

The informal event kicks off at 4pm today with an introduction and overview of the business by co-founder David Amor, followed by more detailed discussion for anyone interested in positions at the company.
