NPD: $4.82 billion US game sales in December

Videogame hardware and software sales for the month totalled USD 4.82 billion.
In December, Nintendo sold 1.35 Wii consoles, followed by Microsoft which sold 1.26 million Xbox 360 consoles. Sony, meanwhile, sold 798,000 PlayStation 3 systems.
According to NPD, the top-selling title in the US for December 2007 was Activision's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for the Xbox 360. A total of 1.47 million copies of the game were sold.
