Nexon Japan buys into BoomBang Games
Japanese subsidiary acquires 32% of Spanish developer that creates online games for teens
Nexon Japan, a subsidiary of the giant Korean corporation, has announced that it has acquired a 32 per cent stake in Spanish developer BoomBang Games.
The deal will help the Barcelona-based firm expand its Flash online title Boombang to Spanish-speaking audiences in North and South America - although the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Meanwhile Nexon Japan will gain another route to the South American market, and utilise its overseas network for the title's expansion.
BoomBang Games was established in 2004 by Luis Oses and Max Bevilacqua, with the aim of creating safe online environments for Spanish-speaking teens.
