Left 4 Dead 2 sells 2m in two weeks

Over one million Live members have played latest from Valve

Valve has revealed that Left 4 Dead 2 has sold over two million units in the two weeks since release.

"Left 4 Dead 2 is off to a great start with strong support at retail and great reviews from the press," offered Doug Lombardi, VP of marketing at Valve.

"Meanwhile, the title has already been played by over one million Xbox Live Gold account holders, and news regarding Left 4 Dead 2 DLC 1 is coming very soon."

The sequel has more than doubled sales of the first title, released only twelve months ago, added Valve. It's expected the game will be one of the biggest sellers in November when the NPD releases its monthly sales data next week.
