Italian Developers Conference is English-only

Government-endorsed IVDC 2010 gathering due in Rome in December

The third annual Italian Videogame Developers Conference has been confirmed for December 3 and 4 this year, in Rome's LUISS Guido Carli university.

Though held in Italy, the entire conference will be conducted solely in English, with translation to Italian available on request.

The IVDC has been endorsed by Giorgia Meloni, Italy's minister of the youth. Official partners include Confindustria (the association for Italian manufacturing and services companies), culture and tourism body Zètema Progetto Cultura and the City of Rome.

"For the third edition of the IVDC, AIOMI chose to move to Rome in order to be nearer to the institution and bring to their attention the excellence of the Italian game development," said Marco Accordi Rickards, director and chairman of the IVDC.

"The LUISS University is one of the most important and prestigious in Europe, the perfect location for an event like the IVDC which, more and more, is increasing its international dimension."

While speakers have yet to be announced, more details are available on conference's official site.
