Funzio appoints former EA Partners exec

Jamil Moledina is social studio's new VP of business development

Social game developer Funzio has appointed Jamil Moledina as vice president of business development.

In his new role, Moledina will build Funzio's business with platforms and partners, while also serving on the executive team.

Prior to joining Funzio, Moledina was the director of business development for Electronic Arts' third-party studio, EA Partners, where he was responsible for creating its third-party digital publishing business.

He also previously served as the executive director of the Game Developers Conference.

"From what I've seen, the future of games is about creating fun social action games for play on any device, any platform, anywhere," said Moledina in a statement.

"Funzio is one of very few companies whose vision and execution are delivering on that goal, and I'm excited to join a team inventing that future."

Funzio develops games for mobile devices, Facebook and Google+. It has doubled its headcount to 65 in the last six months, and is still actively seeking new employees.
