Frozenbyte indie bundle makes $500,000 in 48 hours
Around 100,000 units sold of charity funding collection
Frozenbytes has revealed that its Humble Indie Bundle sold around 100,000 copies in just 48 hours, raising $500,000 in the process.
The bundle contains four full titles, as well as source code for an unfinished fifth. As with other Humble Indie Bundles, buyers were free to set the price they wished to pay for the games. Customers are also able to set a slider dictating how much of the cash goes to the Child's Play and Electronic Frontier Foundation charities and how much goes to the developer itself. Current balances of payments are unknown.
Sales for the bundle currently stand at around $650,000, with several well-known contributors paying in excess of $2000 for the package. Average purchase price overall is $5.10, with Windows users paying $4.10, Mac users $6.32 and Linux users $11.74 on average.
The second Humble Indie Bundle made well over $1.3 million in two weeks on sale, shifting at a higher average price of $7.32 over that period.
