Foundation 9 generates $22 million from XBLA

Developer collective responsible for 15% of titles on Microsoft platform

Developer collective Foundation 9 has revealed that the business has generated more than $22 million on the Xbox Live Arcade platform.

The company, which owns studios including Sumo Digital, Griptonite, Backbone and Pipeworks, is responsible for 15 per cent of the more than 300 games available on Microsoft's download service.

"Foundation 9 Entertainment is the game industry's secret weapon," stated James North-Hearn, CEO.

"While most consumers don't know our name, the biggest and best-loved game publishers around the world turn to Foundation 9 Entertainment to build games for all genres and platforms.

"As the digital category grows we will continue to invest in technology and talent, cementing our leadership by bringing great digital games to market."

The company has released titles including Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for Capcom and Hudson Soft's Bomberman Live.
