Escape Studios hosting animation competition
Win twelve weeks of training and a four week work placement
Graphical academy Escape Studios is hosting a competition for aspiring young digital artists to win a twelve week training course in London or LA, followed by a month-long work placement at The Mill, also in London or LA.
It's the second competition of its type that the academy has held, and offers anyone with a showreel or portfolio of stills a chance to get a foot in the door of a competitive industry.
"We're very excited about our search to find some of the industry's brightest talent and give aspiring artists the chance to break into the VFX industry," said Escape Studios founder Dominic Davenport.
"Last year, the quality of entries we received was testament to the hidden talent that exists in CG. We see it as our job to help anyone with a creative streak and a passion for computer graphics develop their skills and get them started on successful CG careers... We're looking forward to checking out this year's entries."
"We're delighted to support CG Whiz in its second year," added The Mill's Stephen Venning.
"For us it's a great way to check out the best amateur CG talent and offer the cream of the crop a real opportunity to build a career as a professional artist. This year, we're pleased to offer the winner a month's placement in either The Mill's London or Los Angeles VFX studios... This, plus the state-of-the-art training offered by Escape Studios, is as close to an open door to a career in CG as you can get."
More information on the competition and how to enter is available on either Escape Studios or The Mill websites.
