EA2D renamed BioWare San Francisco

Casual and browser-based dev absorbed by BioWare in last week's re-shuffle

Electronic Arts' EA2D studio has been renamed BioWare San Francisco.

According to a report on Gamasutra , EA2D will become the company's sixth BioWare branded studio, along with Montreal, Austin, Fairfax, Virginia, a customer service office in Ireland, and the headquarters in Edmonton, Canada.

The move is a part of last week's re-shuffle that saw Peter Moore named COO, and Frank Gibeau promoted to president of EA's four internal labels: EA Games, EA Sports, EA Play and BioWare.

EA2D previously worked on browser-based casual titles like Dragon Age Legends, and iOS games like Mirror's Edge 2D and The Fancy Pants Adventures.
