EA signs four indie developers for digital projects

Three titles for XBLA, PSN and PC due in first half of next year

Electronic Arts has signed up four independent developers for new game releases across digital formats.

The publisher has inked a deal for Vanguard's first title, the new studio set up by Guerrilla founder Martin de Ronde. Gatling Gears is a PSN, XBLA and PC release and is due for early 2011.

Montreal's Trap Door Games is working with EA Partners on Warp, a top down shooter also headed to XBLA, PSN and PC next summer, while Flash game Fancy Pants Adventure will be updated for an XBLA and PSN release next year, from developer Bourne Games, Over the Top Games and EA 2D.

In other EA development news, the EA Play label has revealed new IP Wildlife: Forest Survival, again for digital console formats, to be released in spring 2011.
