Crytek goes free-to-play with Warface
New FPS aimed at Korean and Asian markets
German developer Crytek has revealed a new shooter, Warface, to be supported by a free-to-play business model.
The developer, known for high-end PC titles such as Crysis, is to use its CryEngine 3 tech and work with Crytek Seoul on the project, geared for release in the Korean and Asian markets.
"Our passion is to always deliver the best gaming experience possible," commented Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek. "That's why we opened our Crytek Seoul office in 2008 which today enables us to offer a game that is tailored to suit its market."
