ZyXEL Offers Gamers Unreal opportunity At i33
Play the pros and win PowerLine HomePlug networking hardware
Bracknell, 14 March 2008: ZyXEL, sponsors of professional gaming outfit Team Dignitas, is offering gamers the opportunity to play the professionals during i33 (Newbury, March 21/22nd). The player who manages to achieve the most 'kills' against one of the Dignitas professionals in Unreal Tournament 3 (UT3) on each day will be rewarded with a pair of ZyXEL PowerLine HomePlug adapters, that will help turn players' home electrical circuits into a high speed broadband network, with access points in any room.
Sarah Guy, Director of Communications at ZyXEL UK, explains, "We are giving game players attending i33 the opportunity to test their skills against some of the best in the industry. Players GaRpY and Zaccubus will be on the ZyXEL stand for two hours each day inviting gamers to challenge them in Unreal Tournament 3.
"The player that achieves the most 'kills' against one of the professionals will be rewarded with the latest "must have" gadget for serious players - a set of ZyXEL PowerLine HomePlug adapters. These are the same devices that are being used by some Team Dignitas members to create a 200Mbps connection between their PC and their broadband access point using their home electrical wiring circuits."
Michael O'Dell, Team Dignitas Manager says, "We've recently joined forces with ZyXEL and some of our players have been using their PowerLine HomePlug-enabled routers in the build up to i33. This technology is a must for all serious gamers - providing 200 Mbps connectivity without the reliability challenges of wireless and the need to feed a dedicated cable from the broadband access point to the gaming pc."
Team Dignitas members will be on stand throughout the day - gamers should listen out for announcements by the event organisers for their chance to 'kill' the pros.
