ZOO Digital Publishing casts its line into PSP gaming with Reel Fishing: The Great Outdoors

Popular fishing series to make its PSP debut this week

ZOO Digital Publishing, the Sheffield-based computer games publisher, has today announced the release of its first game for the Playstation ® Portable - Reel Fishing ® : The Great Outdoors. This immersive fishing simulator lets players cast their virtual line across a host of varied environments in an effort to catch over 20 different species of fresh water fish. Developed by Natsume, Reel Fishing ® : The Great Outdoors, will be exclusively distributed throughout Europe by ZOO Digital Publishing.

The release of Reel Fishing ® : The Great Outdoors also marks the popular series' first outing onto the PSP allowing players to enjoy some amazing 3D fishing whenever and wherever they like. The location, weather conditions, time of day and season will all effect which species are biting and players have to find the right combination of tackle to land the big fish. Ad Hoc multiplayer also allows computer game anglers to take on their friends in a wireless fishing match.

"Reel Fishing ® will offer PSP owners something completely different," commented Andy Gray, PR & Marketing, ZOO Digital Publishing. "Fishing is the largest participation sport in the UK and yet there is a real lack of quality fishing simulators in the market at present.

"The great thing about Reel Fishing is its accessibility. A complete novice is able to enjoy a successful spell by the riverbank just as much as a keen angler but it also has a depth and range of information that will be enlightening to everyone. It should be a real hit."

Reel Fishing: The Great Outdoors will be released on the PSP on 22nd December 2006.
