ZOO Digital Publishing announces separation from ZOO Digital Group with business as usual to focus on console and PC game publishing.
ZOO Digital Publishing, PAL region publisher for titles such as Alien HominidTM and Premier ManagerTM, has today announced it is to separate from parent plc ZOO Digital Group. This change in business status is effective immediately and is a marked return to pure games publishing for the UK-based company.
Already the owner of a considerable GBA, DS, PS2 and PC back catalogue ZOO Digital Publishing Ltd will focus on re-licensing and publishing product for the European and Asian markets whilst continuing to exploit and maximise their portfolio on existing, next generation and mobile formats.
Barry Hatch, Managing Director of the restructured company, commented on the future of ZDP, "It's an exciting opportunity to focus on our strengths and continue to produce and expand our comprehensive catalogue of multi-format games. We've been a presence in European publishing for some time now and our separation from the ZOO group gives us the flexibility to work closer with our distributors, retailers and the rest of the industry."
