El Segundo, CA - July 22, 2010 -- OGPlanet, developer of the popular online action games Rumble Fighter and Lost Saga, announced today that Fileplanet would lead the exclusive North American closed beta release of Zone 4: Fight District, their free-to-play massively multiplayer online (MMO) fighting game. Starting at 10am Pacific on Thursday, July 23 through July 26, users can log onto www.fileplanet.com and sign up for a beta key that will give them access to the game, allowing them to build up their characters, create equipment and form guilds before everyone else. Paying Fileplanet subscribers will receive two exclusive items -- White Wings and a Bear Backpack -- both of which augment a character's stats and can be carried over when the game is launched. These will be available to the first 10,000 paying users only.
On July 26, six additional sites will provide even more beta keys for gamers interested in getting a taste of Zone 4, which combines the arcade style of classic games like Double Dragon and Final Fight ® with the complex strategy of modern brawlers like Street Fighter ® and Super Smash Bros. ® Brawl.

Zone 4: Fight District is set in a world where fighting competitions have become the most popular form of entertainment and sport combined. Fighting schools in rival zones train and pit skilled fighters against each other with the hope of winning the worldwide league tournament known as the Free Fighting Championship. However, the tournament appears to have a dark side, with rumors ranging from fixed matches to vanishing fighters swirling around the competition. Can players rise in the ranks as a new fighter, while uncovering and ending the dangerous secrets of the FFC?
Players have the option to select from one of six different characters, each with their own traits and abilities, as well as one of ten separate fighting styles with much more to come through future updates. Ranging from Taekwondo and Boxing to Professional Wrestling and even Dirty Fighting styles, players can tailor their brawling maneuvers to fit their personal tastes. Plus, like other MMOs, players will be able to craft weapons and equipment, form street fighting gangs (Zone 4's equivalent of guilds), and much more.
