Zammo Skips Detention To Game With Fame On Xbox Live Arcade
London, 22nd November 2006 - Samuel 'Zammo' Maquire (Lee MacDonald) was Grange Hill's cult hero through the glory years of the early 1980's. Every boy wanted to be Zammo and every girl wanted to meet him behind the back of the bike sheds!
A cheeky chappie, Zammo never took school life seriously but was sensitive to others' feelings: he was always the one to stick up for Roland when he was getting bullied by Gripper.
Grease's Danny and Sandy may have been the romance of the 1970's but it was Zammo and Jackie Wright who became the heart throbs of millions of teenagers across the country.
Zammo will be taking time out to join the Xbox 360 team at Microsoft for an exclusive Xbox Live® Arcade Game With Fame. Xbox Live members will have the unique opportunity to play Zammo on top Live Arcade title Marble Blast.
On 23rd November between 5pm and 7pm (GMT), fans will have the chance to re-live the glory of the 1980's in yet another fantastic 'Game with Fame' session.
