You'll Blow Your Top At This Week's Virtual Console!

3rd August 2007- This week Wii owners are in for a treat with not three but four hot new titles now available for download on the Virtual Console! First up is the 1993 best-seller Shinobi III. Originally released on the Sega Mega Drive, Shinobi III is often viewed as the best action platform game in the famous Shinobi series, thanks to its high quality visuals and fast, varied gameplay. Players assume the role of Joe Musashi, a Ninjitsu fighter, tasked with taking on the evil of recently resurrected crime syndicate Neo Zeed. This ninja-tastic game is yours this week for 800 Wii Points.

For something a little different, why not have a go at Dynamite Headdy. Developed by Treasure Co. and released on the Sega Mega Drive in 1994, Dynamite Headdy is an amusing action platform game set in a world full of living toys. Headdy, the star of a travelling theatre with an explosive, detachable head must fight his way past numerous evil puppets over several theatrical stages and defeat the evil puppet king, 'Dark Demon', and his minions, as well as attempting to defeat his life long enemy Trouble Bruin. Dynamite Headdy is available now for 800 Wii Points.

Next up this week on Virtual Console is the 1992 Sega Mega Drive role-playing classic, Shining Force. A thousand years of peace are destroyed when the Kingdom of Runefaust brings war to the land of Rune. Wielding the Powers of Light, players must once again take on the Lord of Darkness and the evil creatures ravishing the land to restore peace to the war-torn nation. Shining Force is available this week on Virtual Console for 800 Wii Points.

To round off this week with a treat we have the 1991 Turbografx action-puzzler Drop Off. Princess Azumi has been placed under a sleeping spell and it's up to our hero Takashi to venture into her nightmarish dreams and save her from the sleeping spell. Players must use all their cunning to clear a path through the obstacles they encounter. Using the arrow items and by controlling the angle of the ball to shatter the blocks that fall from the top screen, players must complete and solve the block puzzles in order to rescue Azumi from the dream world. This ingenious game is available this week for 600 Wii Points.

These great games join the list of 116 classic titles already available for Virtual Console in Europe.
