VENICE, CA December 9, 2010—Xwerx, makers of XtendPlay ( http://www.xwerxonline.com), the new controller enhancement for original-equipment Xbox 360 and PlayStation controllers, has announced that it will donate a portion of each product sold during the holidays to Get-Well Gamers Foundation ( http://www.getwellgamers.org), a California-based international charity dedicated to bringing electronic entertainment to children in long-term healthcare facilities.
The campaign will be highlighted at the XtendPlay launch party, which will be held on December 15 at Powersurge, LA's hottest, newest and most unique gaming venue. Attendees are encouraged to bring used games and games equipment to donate to Get-Well Gamers. Guests will also be able to get their game on alongside Stallion83 (a.k.a. Raymond Cox), the world's highest-scoring gamer on Xbox LIVE and an enthusiastic endorser of XtendPlay. Stallion83 will be teaming up with guests to play a number of the hottest game titles.
"The generosity of XtendPlay's creators is a new high for us," said Ryan Sharpe, President, Get-Well Gamers Foundation. "This is the first time a company with a new product has come forward to share the spotlight at such a critical moment. Clearly, the creators of XtendPlay understand not only that gamers want to be comfortable when they play, they also want to give back to the larger gaming community."
"It is our pleasure to do whatever we can to support such a worthy charity," said Dave and Mark Sparling, Xwerx CEO and COO.
"We have always looked at gaming a little differently, which is what brought us to create XtendPlay, and with Ryan and Get-Well Gamers we’ve found a good synergy."
