X³: Reunion Launches On Xbox

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BASINGSTOKE, England (May 18th 2005) - DEEP SILVER and EGOSOFT are excited to finally announce the development of X³: REUNION on the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft®. Anticipated for a quarter one 2006 launch, players will live a life of exploration in the vastness of space, trade with over a thousand beings and engage in exhilarating deep space dogfights, all from the comfort of their favourite armchair. This ground breaking title will define a new genre for console players, as they immerse themselves in a living, breathing universe, where their every action can ripple consequences across the stars.

X³: REUNION is the sequel to the award winning X²: THE THREAT PC CDROM game of 2004. X³ continues to lead the way in offering players the ultimate open ended game play experience, backed by an addictive storyline and intense space combat/trading action. From humble beginnings, players can build huge commercial empires, spanning from one system to another, or wage war against neighbouring sectors, as they lead an armada of war ships and fighters to victory. The player's direction and future are totally in their hands.

"We are very excited to extend the X universe to Xbox and introduce the inhabitants of our universe to a huge new community of gamers. X³: REUNION will combine the maximum freedom of game play, an action loaded plot and a user interface specifically designed for the needs of a console audience." Said Bernd Lehahn, CEO of EGOSOFT.

"The X series of games from EGOSOFT have always set new benchmarks, for others to follow, both in terms of graphics and game play. The launch of X³: REUNION on Xbox proves their dedication in continuing to push the boundaries." Said Craig McNicol, Managing Director of DEEP SILVER in the UK. "The Xbox launch also signals DEEP SILVERS continued expansion into the console arena, bringing players ground breaking, innovative titles."

Published by DEEP SILVER (PAL territories), developed by EGOSOFT and distributed exclusively by KOCH MEDIA, X³: REUNION is set for launch Q1 2006. For more information on X³: REUNION, visit the official website at: www.egosoft.com
