Xbox Fans Get Ready To Rock At GAME Stores
5th April 2007 - Calling all rockers! The hugely popular guitar simulation game Guitar Hero II has finally exploded onto the Xbox 360 so get ready to throw away your air guitar, sport a dodgy hairstyle and really crank it up!
To celebrate its launch, Europe's largest video games retailer GAME in conjunction with Activision will be touring the UK giving customers the chance to try their hand at jamming with legends such as Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden and many more on the new X-Plorer guitar controller, which is based on the famous Gibson® guitar that is a favorite among musicians
Taking place on 7th and 9th April, after a short demonstration showing wannabe rockers how to simulate the guitar god experience, potential Mick Jaggers will have the opportunity to try their hand at the game and be entered into a prize draw to win a range of fabulous prizes, including a Gibson Guitar, Microsoft Xbox 360 goodies and GAME gift cards worth £100!
Everyone who tries out the game will receive a free Gibson Guitar Strap.
Guitar Hero II on Xbox 360 comes complete with a killer soundtrack of over 70 songs and the revolutionary X-Plorer Guitar Controller. Players choose from a wild group of rockers and jam at concert venues that grow in size as their rock career progresses. They can play with a friend and shred riffs cooperatively, or go head-to-head in multiplayer modes like Pro Face-Off.
With Xbox Live, players can grab new songs, themes, and picture packs. They can also download exclusive songs and check where they rank on the Guitar Hero II leaderboard.
