X3: Terran Conflict
Non-playable rolling demo released which also benchmarks your PC.
4 November 2008
Computer games developer Egosoft and Deep Silver, the games label of Koch Media, a leading producer and distributor of digital entertainment products, today present a rolling demo of the game X³: Terran Conflict.
The non-playable demo of X³: Terran Conflict uses the game's engine to give gamers an impression of the quality of the endless reaches of space in the X Universe. Four different sectors provide glimpses of the game's diversity.
However, that is not all the rolling demo of X³: Terran Conflict can be used for. It also serves as a benchmark by which to measure your home computer's speed and performance. The requirements for the first three sectors of space are moderate, while the fourth scene will challenge all PCs. At the end of the demo, the computer will output a statistical value depending on the benchmark performance.
X³: Terran Conflict is a brand new, stand-alone game set in the universe of X³. It is the culmination of the X trilogy, with a grand finale that takes us all the way back to Earth's own solar system. Gamers can take on the roles of different characters in the X universe, or of a Terran military pilot, and experience a multitude of stories in the largest X universe ever featured – for X³: Terran Conflict will offer more missions than any other X game before. Meanwhile this will pose questions such as: How has Earth changed in all these years? And how will relations between Earth and its counterparts in the X universe develop?
