X2 Football 2009
iPhone footy game gets a version 1.2 update.
X2 Football, the first release from X2 Games, an own-IP offshoot of handheld developers Exient, has been updated to version 1.2. The new version includes a wide range of tweaks and fixes as well as a set of new features to enhance the X2 Football experience.
Taking pride of place is a fully-integrated replay viewer to expand X2 Football’s much-lauded action replay functionality. Replays can now be saved and watched back at any time, allowing players to keep their magic moments and triumphant goals for prosperity.
Amongst the host of additional tweaks in the 1.2 version are optimisations for the new 3GS chipset, several technical fixes and a range of alterations to gameplay balance and team management, based on internal play testing and direct customer feedback. Rounding off the new features is an International Tournament mode, which allows players to compete against teams from any continent in the grandest football competition of all.
Des Gayle, producer, X2 Games, comments: “This new version of X2 Football highlights the flexibility of the iPhone platform and our commitment to improving the game throughout its lifetime. We’ve had the opportunity to actively respond to customer feedback as well as implement our own new ideas.” He continued: “However, this is just the first update – we’ve got plenty of other features to implement as we’re able to integrate and sufficiently test them, so watch this space.”
X2 Football 1.2 is available to download from the App Store now.
