WorldWinner Pops the Lid on Paint Buckets
Unique New Game Combines a Stroke of Strategy and a Splash of Beat-the-Clock Fun
Newton, Mass. - February 3, 2005 - WorldWinner, Inc. (www.worldwinner.com), the leader in online game competitions, today announced that its newest game, Paint Buckets, has become an instant favorite among gamers. Since Paint Buckets was added to WorldWinner in late January, it has quickly gained a growing base of loyal players, making it one of most popular games on the site and one of the most success game launches in WorldWinner's recent history.
The object of Paint Buckets is to erase an entire picture before running out of paint buckets or time. Players start with a picture of exactly 16 colors and are given three buckets of paint in each of those colors. Each time paint is poured onto a selected spot within the picture, the color spreads to fill all adjoining pixels of the same color, much like a pour or flood fill tool in a paint program. As the blobs of color get bigger, the picture gradually gets erased.
Points are scored according to how much of the picture is erased. Players who completely erase the picture receive bonus points for each unused paint bucket, each unused special tool, and a time bonus for any remaining time.
