World-leading MMORPG Developer to speak
Joonmo Kwon, head of South Korean online giant NEXON joins Nordic Game 2007 as a keynote speaker.
Joonmo Kwon is Chief Executive Officer of one of the global games industry's most successful online gaming companies. NEXON Corporation was established in 1994 and has since then gone from strength to strength, starting off in with the world's first graphic MMORPG, The Kingdom of the Winds, then creating South Korea 's most played online game KartRider (over 30% of the population) and the hugely popular MMORPG MapleStory, which has registered over 40 million users to its free-to-play service. After having introduced the game to the North American market, Nexon America have recorded over 2 million registered users for the American service of MapleStory.
Besides being CEO of NEXON, Joonmo Kwon is the present Chairman of the Korea Association of Game Industry (KAOGI) His keynote at Nordic Game 2007 is entitled "Asian Online Game Market and NEXON's Strategy".
