Cyber Games (WCG), today announced the basic players'
regulations for the 2006 tournaments, which will be applied
in all tournaments including local preliminaries, national
finals, and Grand Final in Monza, Italy, from October 18 -

The regulations consist of participant qualification, age
restriction, auto-berth, and other players' regulations. They
are expected to provide a clear guideline for players
competing for WCG 2006 tournaments.
First, rights to participate in the WCG 2006 Grand Final are
limited to the nationality and citizenship of the country he

after Oct 18th, 1989 should submit signed parental consent
form before they are allowed to participate in the Grand
Final.
In addition, the maximum number of players in each national
team is 26. And under auto-berth rule, which is same as last
year's, medalists in WCG 2005 Grand Final are allowed to
participate in National Finals without competing in local
preliminaries.
Lastly, if national team players cannot attend the WCG 2006
Grand Final due to sickness or any other unforeseen event, he
or she may be replaced by the next highest finisher in the
national finals. As for Half Life®: Counter-Strike
1.6, although substitutions of maximum 2 players who have not
previously competed in the national finals are allowed, the
team whose substitution exceeds 2 players will be
disqualified and replaced by the next highest finishing
