(Seoul, October 22, 2009) -- The World Cyber Games (WCG), the leader in international video game competitions and festivals, has completed the group drawing for the WCG 2009 Grand Final and announced the result today in Seoul, Korea. With over 1.5 million competitors from about 70 countries now shaved down to an elite 600, the final stage is set for e-Sports top competitors to battle at the highest level of gaming while representing their countries at the WCG 2009 Grand Final. Taking place in Chengdu, China from November 11-15, the gamers will be competing for cash and prizes, the title of world's best gamer, and national glory.
Announced live on the official WCG website ( www.WCG.com) over the past three days, the group drawing featured an all-new procedure that utilizes the players' performance at past WCG events for seeding purposes. The intention of this new format is to create the most compelling match-ups and give the top players the best opportunity to advance to the finals.
As new gamers and teams prepare for their first WCG 2009 Grand Final, a number of the best players from previous tournaments are set to return better than ever. e-Sports professionals agree that some of the most interesting groups this year are Group C in Counter-Strike and Group A in StarCraft.

In StarCraft Group A, e-Sports fans will watch some of the top matches in this group league. Players such as n.die_Jaedong (Korea 3rd), Draco (Poland 3rd), Kollsen (Germany 1st), Louder (USA 2nd), and Toodming (China 2nd), will represent their country and continent in this 'deadly group'.
