Woldtown
Mini-games on the menu in upcoming social game.
Dinglepharb Studios, a studio developing social and mobile games with a twist, has revealed the first of the gameplay elements for its upcoming free-to-play social game, Woldtown, for Facebook and the web coming in Spring 2010. Featuring customizable dragon avatars called Wolds, over 20 mini-games, manic pie throwing action and your own personalized space to decorate as you see fit, Woldtown has something for the entire family!
“After users create their Wold, they can play mini-games to earn WoldCash, which they can then spend on upgrading their own personal rooms, buying clothes and other items,” said Nathan Agulto, CEO of Dinglepharb Studios. “Whether it is the customization options, the social networking aspects or the plethora of addictive mini-games, the possibilities in Woldtown are endless.”
Some of the mini games featured in Woldtown include:
• “Bop a Bad Guy” - A variation on whack a mole. The tables are turned in this one, and it's people who are getting whacked instead of an innocent furry!
• “Happy Kitchen” - Happy Kitchen is a fun and frantic mini game that has the player try to catch falling food ingredients and avoid falling cockroaches to make a delicious meal.
• “The Shell Game” - This shell game is a memory focused game that requires a good set of eyes. There are three shuffling cups and you must keep your eye on the one that has a marble hidden under it.
Featuring over 20 customizable Wold avatars, an abundance of exceptional mini-games, an original back story and an entire town to explore, Woldtown is fun for people of all ages, all for free. This fully 3D, interactive experience is unlike anything seen on Facebook yet, and whether you join your friends online in some pie-flinging action or earn WoldCash in various mini-games to trick out your digs, Woldtown is the family-friendly game Facebook has been missing!
