Weekend Rush at GC
Leipzig, 25 August 2007
Gamers have taken over at GC. Europe's leading tradeshow for computer and video games attracted 70,000 visitors (2006: 75,000) on the third day, bringing the total at the Leipzig Exhibition Centre so far to 151,000, or 1,000 more than last year.
"After a promising start the crush is continuing at the weekend. Exhibitors and visitors are in a magnificent mood" says Josef Rahmen, Managing Director of the Leipziger Messe. "I am particularly glad to see that our improved logistics perfectly match the traditional rush on Saturday. It is working - the new hall layout, wider aisles and extra parking spaces make it more pleasant for people. For the next GC we will build another pedestrian overpass between exhibition halls so as to better divide up the flow of visitors."
Until tomorrow, 503 exhibitors from 31 countries will be presenting their latest products at Europe's no. 1 trade fair for interactive entertainment, infotainment, edutainment and hardware. Opening hours on Sunday are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
