We Sing Encore

Final ten tracks to be unveiled via a Twitter version of hangman.

Friday 28th May 2010: Leading independent games publisher Nordic Games will soon complete the line-up for its forthcoming karaoke game We Sing Encore by revealing the final 10 tracks available in the UK version exclusively via Twitter.

Each working day over the coming fortnight (1st June - 11th June), the firm will offer followers of @WeSingGame the chance to play 'Twangman' - hangman via Twitter - with the first follower to guess the day's featured track winning a copy of We Sing, Europe's best-selling karaoke game.

The rules are simple. At some point during each working day, followers will receive notice of the start of the game, which will then take the form of a Hangman clue. The first person to correctly guess the track and artist by @replying will win the opportunity to claim a copy of We Sing - as long as they retweet their correct answer within five minutes of being told they've won. Once the track has been revealed, the competition will end, and move to the following day, when a new song from the forthcoming We Sing Encore will be revealed.

We Sing Encore takes Nintendo Wii singing games to the next level, with a host of new additions and features designed to cement its position as the leading karaoke title on the console. And with 40 tracks included on disc, it represents the best value for money in the genre. The game will be available in July.

"As We Sing is all about fun we thought what better way than bringing the community together with news about the new game and the rest of the We Sing Encore track list" says Nik Blower, sales and marketing director, Nordic Games, "and Twangman seemed like the most fun. Every working day for the next two weeks, we'll not just be unveiling the 10 stellar tracks available in the UK release of We Sing Encore, but giving our followers the chance to win the original game and microphones too. It's going to be ------- --------."

We Sing Encore introduces a host of additions to the best-selling original. A single-player reward system will offer soloists a stimulating challenge, whilst groups can opt for competitive or co-operative achievements designed to reward the very best performances. The addition of a 'real karaoke' mode offers the greatest challenge, removing backing vocals entirely. Other gameplay enhancements include the introduction of 'Star Notes' and a new jukebox mode allowing non-stop music. Technically, the entire engine has been overhauled, boasting HDTV support, specific anti-lag features and an impressive visual makeover.

Can't sing? Don't worry: the new singing lessons area will teach players how to sing like professionals. And those who fancy messing around will enjoy playing back their own performances and adding voice effects in real-time.
