We R Interactive
We R joins TIGA.
We R Interactive is an online games publisher with a mission to bring together the worlds of film and game. Former PlayStation and Eidos executive David Rose, ex-ITV Interactive Commissioning Editor Oli Madgett and leading Media Analyst Richard Dale founded the company in July 2010.
We R Interactive enjoys support from directors Tom Thirlwall and Chris Kelly of acclaimed production company Bigballs Films and is backed by Peter Mead, founder of legendary London advertising agency Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, and Fru Hazlitt, former Yahoo! and Gcap Media boss, and ITV’s new commercial and online director.
Dave Rose explains the company’s mission: “We are committed to a gaming revolution, finally bringing together the film and games industries to develop products the like of which have never been seen before. We R Interactive will take branded content to a whole new level, creating interactive, social games for smartphones, Facebook and the web. These games will create rich new worlds for players, worlds filled with aspiration, dilemma and reward that blur the lines between digital life and real life.”
On joining TIGA Rose added: “I have always been a huge supporter of TIGA and its mission to make the UK the best place to do games business. We R Interactive is a completely new kind of games company and we want to work closely with TIGA to raise our profile and showcase our exciting, revolutionary content to the industry and media.”
Dr. Richard Wilson TIGA CEO: Last year we launched ‘Creative Industry Switch’ a project aimed at breaking down the boundaries between the games industry and other creative industries, encouraging collaboration and new creative ideas to flow. We R Interactive is doing just that - combining online gaming with high quality broadcast content and narrative story-telling. We are thrilled that the company has joined TIGA and we look forward to working closely together.”
