We Love Golf!

In stores today.

SAN MATEO, Calif. — July 16, 2008 — Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, announced that We Love Golf™! ships to retail today for the Wii™ home video game system. North American players now have the option to meet up online and challenge each other in a realistic and immersive golf experience on Wii. We Love Golf! is rated E 10+ by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) and carries a suggested retail price of $49.99.

We Love Golf! is the first online capable golf game for Wii and features a full array of online features, including “World Play Mode,” where players can play random players online and collect player medals for their wins, and “Friend Play,” where players may choose to play a friend from their Wii friend list. The game is also the first online Wii sports titles to enable players to play online with their personalized Miis. The new online modes for We Love Golf! are included in the game for the first time for the Western release of the game, as the Japanese version of the game (released in December 2007) did not have these online modes.

Additionally, We Love Golf! will have two new exclusive characters created solely for the western edition with unique unlockable Capcom character costumes. As an added bonus for all the Capcom fans, players will be able to take on the greens dressed as Chun-Li, Jill Valentine, Arthur, and many more. A variety of game modes, including multiple characters, unlockable character costumes and content will provide the most immersive golfing experience available this Summer.

We Love Golf!, created by the veteran studio Camelot Software Planning, presents a realistic and approachable golfing experience for all ages. Whether you’re a golfing pro or a grandparent teaching their grandchildren, We Love Golf! offers an engrossing golfing experience thanks to easy-to-navigate menus, highly-stylized visuals, and the Wii Remote’s unique motion-sensing functionality. Just as on a real course, gauging wind conditions, correct club selection and careful reading of the greens are all essentials for victory.
