War Child UK partners with Bandai Namco on 11-11: Memories Retold

"Together we can work to end the suffering of children caught in the violence of war," says Elijah Wood, star of 11-11: Memories Retold

War Child UK has today announced a partnership around 11-11: Memories Retold from Bandai Namco Europe, DigixArt, and Aardman Animation, creators of Wallace and Gromit.

The partnership will see publisher Bandai Namco release a War Child DLC for 11-11: Memories Retold when the game launches in November. A portion of the DLC proceeds will be donated to the War Child charity.

Elijah Wood, who stars as one of the game's two protagonists, said: "War Child is a charity that supports children and young people affected by war, and works towards a world in which no child's life is torn apart in military conflict....Together we can work to end the suffering of children caught in the violence of war."

War Child CEO Rob Williams added: "This year War Child's Armistice is the most exciting yet and the next phase in our ongoing partnerships with some of the best creative talent in the gaming industry.

"The fantastic support of game developers and publishers creating innovative alternative content, allows us to amplify our message about the importance of supporting children affected war to a global community.

"We hope to raise around £200k from Armistice this year to help some of the world's most vulnerable children."

For the record: This article previously stated that Sports Interactive was involved with the War Child UK Armistice. However, despite despite the press release stating that studio director Miles Jacobson is heavily involved with War Child UK, and a donation will be made for every copy of Football Manger sold, this is incorrect and has been amended to reflect that.
