Wake Technical Community College Hosts Digital Game Lecture Series
Ubisoft/Red Storm Designer to Discuss Game Balancing

RALEIGH, N.C. (November 21, 2006) - Wake Technical Community College today announced that Gary Stelmack, a designer for Red Storm Entertainment, will lecture on game balancing on Wednesday, Nov. 29. The talk will begin at 12:15 p.m. in the Technical Education Building, Room 105A, on the college's main campus off of U.S. 401 South. The lecture, part of a series hosted by the college's simulation and game development curriculum and sponsored by the National Science Foundation, is free and open to the public.
Stelmack has worked for Red Storm Entertainment for nine years, first in quality assurance testing titles in the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six and Rogue Spear game series, then as a scripter on "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon," "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Desert Siege" and "Ghost Recon: Island Thunder." More recently Stelmack worked as lead designer on the Xbox version of "Ghost Recon," lead multiplayer designer for "Ghost Recon 2" and designer for "Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter." Among his primary responsibilities has been design and balance of weapons in the Rogue Spear and Ghost Recon games.
