VOS series

Melbourne, Australia — Monday 13th of September 2010 — Ryan Brothers & Associates, the new independent games company founded by brothers and award winning designers Timothy and Tobye Ryan, today announced the development of its first two video game titles.

Two completely different games of a new IP are currently in production with a view for releases of these titles in the first quarter of 2011. These games will be released on iPhone, iPod Touch, Windows and Windows Phone 7 with plans to move to other platforms in the future.

The VOS Series

The VOS series is planned as a long-running franchise made up of a variety of unique and innovative titles. Each VOS game will offer unique gameplay while following the stories of a cast of colourful characters and the nations they fight for in an alternate 1920s universe. The world is at war and three superpowers are tenaciously vying for the upper hand. The Indian-based Aakash Council, the aggressive expansionist Australian force known as The United Islands, and the coalition of European monarchies known as The Royal Crown.

VOS: Launch

In VOS: Launch the player will take the role of an Aakashian soldier manning a cannon turret in an impossible city defence scenario against the relentless United Islands. Boasting intense, lightning-fast gameplay, simple controls and a unique art style, VOS: Launch manages to wrap these features into a deceptively deep score-chasing experience.

VOS: Advance

VOS: Advance is best described as a tower-defence puzzle game. Players must fight battles across 3 fronts simultaneously by drawing attack paths for emplacements (such as guiding missiles or setting firing patterns for machine guns) and using support tactics such as stat increases or airstrikes at the right time to aid your Aakashian infantry and armoured divisions to their goal. VOS: Advance boasts a wide variety of missions, including one where YOU are the end area boss - a fully-equipped battle ship!
