Vivendi readies Urban Attack

Twenty months of research and development

Vivendi Games Mobile has announced that it will launch Urban Attack in Europe and North America this holiday season.

The game, an original first-person-shooter, uses state-of-the-art technology, incorporating vector graphics to enable the game to run in 3D across all handset tiers.

"We are excited to unveil Urban Attack this holiday season, after investing more than 20 months of research and development into making this the most visionary, action-packed FPS made for mobile that the industry has seen," said Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile.

"FPS enthusiasts as well as more casual gamers will undoubtedly find the intense graphics and meticulous attention to detail impressive and will quickly find themselves engaged with the storyline and gameplay."

"We wanted to develop a fast paced, original mobile game, that retains the look and feel of a more traditional shooter while being designed to function across hundreds of handsets, instead of a limited number of 3D devices," said Vincent Dondaine, producer of Urban Attack, Vivendi Games Mobile.

"Players will enjoy the easy to use targeting system which is so smooth it quickly becomes second nature. This title overcomes the typical challenges a game of this type for mobile presents, and we hope it proves to be a successful model for mobile games moving forward," Dondaine stated.
