Virtuos/Kyos deal

Shanghai and Tokyo, December 9, 2009 – Virtuos, a leading provider of digital entertainment offshore production services, announced today that it has formed a partnership with well-known Japanese video game market consultancy Kyos to act as Virtuos’ agent in Japan.

Kyos will serve as Virtuos’ representative in Japan and will help make clients in Japan aware of the possibilities of utilizing Virtuos’ production capabilities. Ms. Naoko Kino, President of Kyos, is a veteran of the game industry and has extensive experience with Japanese developers and publishers.

“Japanese video game companies face a number of challenges in today's market. The most pressing of these issues include optimizing production efficiency, controlling development costs, and making games that offer a higher level of international appeal,” said Ms. Kino. “Virtuos’ team of international game developers is uniquely positioned to deliver outstanding production solutions that will help Japan’s game makers address these challenges.”

Virtuos already has experience working on AAA games for clients in Japan. Asian clients including companies in China, Korea and Japan represented more than 25% of Virtuos’ 2009 revenues.
