The organisers of the Virtual Worlds Conference and Expo have announced that Christian Renaud, chief architect of networked virtual environments at Cisco, will be delivering a keynote speech at the event.
The talk, titled "The Future of Media and Communication," will address the role of virtual platforms in allowing companies a greater degree of engagement with customers, partners and employees.
Renaud believes that such platforms can help companies achieve increased productivity: "I hope to help with this effort by distinguishing what it really means within the context of existing and future communications infrastructures and how organizations can leverage the benefits of virtual worlds technologies and applications."
The event takes place at the San Jose Convention Center from October 10 - 11. The creator of the CSI TV franchise, Anthony E Zuiker, will also deliver a keynote at the event.
