Vindictus

Nexon Europe announced live from Gamescom in Cologne, Germany that Vindictus is the newest title to be added to the catalogue of free-to-play games published by Nexon in the European market. Following the announcement of the title at E3 in North America, the excitement builds as the game is being brought to Europe as well.

Vindictus is the first physics-based action multiplayer online action role-playing game developed by devCat studios. Vindictus uses a modified Source Engine ^TM to enable interaction with the environment like shattering objects, hurling debris, binding enemies with chains, and piercing defenses with spears. As walls crumble and whole buildings topple, new weapons in the battlefield emerge. In the game, players will be able to engage in high-speed combat and experience the stunning visuals of the free-to-play game that adds brutal elegance to the PC gaming space.

Vindictus is loosely based on Celtic mythology and the storyline is slowly uncovered as players progress in the game. When first starting the game, all players will join a mercenary unit called ‘Crimson Blades’ to battle monsters known as Fomors in the hope of reaching Erinn, the paradise promised by the goddess, Morrighan.
