(Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today that the legendary Vigilante 8 ® franchise has returned with the release of Vigilante 8: Arcade, now available for download on Xbox LIVE ® Arcade for the Xbox 360 ® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Developed by Isopod Labs, Vigilante 8: Arcade thrusts gamers straight back into the adrenaline-pumping universe of extreme off-road vehicle combat, where they can compete against each other or team up with up to four players locally or eight online to unleash havoc in destructive, high-octane battle.
Delivering ultimate mayhem in single player modes such as Quest, Custom Battle and Free Wheelin', and frenetic multiplayer modes including Deathmatch and Team Co-op, Vigilante 8: Arcade features five newly designed, highly interactive arenas and eight upgradeable 70s-style vehicles, allowing players to let loose and demolish opponents with unique weapons and artillery such as machine guns, rockets, missiles, mortars, cannons and mines at their explosive disposal.
