Videogame publishers eye Comic-Con

SCEA and Microsoft have announced their plans for the upcoming Comic-Con International 2007.

Microsoft and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group will be offering game trailers, show panels, movie and television trailers, celebrity interviews, and custom DC Comics themes via Xbox Live.

SCEA will be present at the show to demonstrate upcoming PSP and PS3 titles such as SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Tactical Strike and The Eye of Judgment.

SOE, which is based in San Diego, plans to shuttle Comic-Con attendees to their headquarters to show off upcoming titles. Foundation 9 Entertainment will also be at the show to demonstrate Godzilla Unleashed for the Wii as well as Sonic Rivals 2 for PSP, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night for the DS, and WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 for the DS.

PC Gamer and Maximum PC will be holding hourly Unreal Tournament 3 tournaments, marking the first time that the upcoming Midway game will be playable to the public.

Comic-Con International 2007 will be held in San Diego, California from July 26 through July 29. Over 120,000 people are expected to attend.
