Game sales offset declines at Warner Bros Entertainment

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars singled out by Time Warner

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars has been singled out as a star performer in Time Warner's financial results for the first quarter ended March 31.

The video game business performed well as part of the overall Filmed Entertainment division, where sales dropped 3 per cent to $2.6 billion due to difficult comparisons against theatircal and home video releases from the previous year.

Sales across the entire Time Warner business were up 6 per cent to $6.7 billion, with operating income at $1.27 billion.
