Valve launches the Steam Discovery Update
Service now has 100 million users and 3700 games
The latest addition to Valve's digital store, the Steam Discovery Update, will offer users personalised recommendations and more detailed filters to make content easier to find.
"We have made great efforts to increase the number of titles we can publish on Steam, which means more choices for customers," said Steam Support Team's Alden Kroll.
"This update introduces multiple features and functionality to help customers explore Steam's growing catalog and find the games they are most interested in playing."
Steam users will get a new homepage with the update where they can check out suggestions from Steam itself based on what they've been playing and for how long, along with suggestions from their friends.
A new Curators feature has also been added and allows gamers to become "tastemakers."
Steam currently has 3,700 titles and 100 million active accounts and in the last nine months alone has added 1,300 new titles.
