Valkyrie Sky
Beginner's guide to be translated into many tongues.
Seoul, April 1 – Valkyrie Sky, shoot’em up RPG serviced at global game portal GameKiss is hosting an event in which gamers participate in translating the beginner’s guide to many languages. The event has started on March 26.
This event was planned to figure out the users’ needs for each language before GameKiss expands the game’s English service to many different languages.
“In addition to Chinese, Spanish and French translations, we have received much support in translations of other languages which were represented among fewer Valkyrie Sky users so far. The languages include Finnish, Hebrew and Dutch. Thanks to that, we could confirm where users’ needs are for the multi-language service, and this will help us prepare an even better multi-language service in the future,” said Joey who is in charge of the Valkyrie Sky service.
Joey added that the biggest gain of the event is that the beginner’s guide will contain questions and solutions which the translators themselves found while playing the game.
Users who participate in the event will be rewarded thank-you gifts including a special “title” that boosts their in-game characters’ skills and GameKiss’ currency, GKash, which can be used for buying items worth $50. And when a beginner’s guide, written by a user, is put up on the official website the writer will get a byline in that guide.
Valkyrie Sky has already had a good outcome from users’ feedback being actively reflected on the game and from the SNS PR event in which users directly participate in PR activities. With the participation of users in this translation event, Valkyrie Sky is firming its reputation as the “game made by its users.”
