User Rated PLAYSTATION®3 Compatibility Site Launches
Copenhagen, 7 May 2007 - The Danish company Implementia today officially launched the web site that will allow PLAYSTATION®3 owners to see which of their PlayStation®One and PlayStation®2 game titles are playable on the new PS3 - based on other users' experiences.
The web site at www.ps3comp.com lists 13.528 of those titles from the portfolio of PSOne and PS2 titles that are or aren't playable on PS3.
"Since the beta release a month ago the site has already had 17.000 hits. That's great news for all us PS3-owners. It underlines the need for an impartial compatibility site. Everything else is letting the wolf guard the sheep", said Jesper Joensson, co-founder of www.ps3comp.com. "Many use the site for checking changes in firmware compatibility. Newer firmware doesn't necessarily mean better compatibility, so before upgrading they make sure their games are as compatible with the new firmware version as the old."
