As sales of New Super Mario Bros reach one million units just 12 weeks after release in the US, Nintendo has revealed two new editions of the DS Lite for the territory.

The recent released Polar White edition will now be joined by two new colours — Onyx and Coral Pink.

"Not only are the DS Lite screen and battery life incredible, but the new colours just add another element of fun, allowing people to personalise who they are by the colour, or colours they pick, " said George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications.

Nintendo has also revealed that Animal Crossing: Wild World has sold over 800,000 in the US, Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day has reached the four million units mark worldwide, while similar mental exercise title Big Brain Academy has broken the two million unit sales.

The Coral Pink and Onyx DS Lite will be available from September 13th.
