Uncharted beats Doom to UK retail number one
Bethesda's shooter reboot settles for second as Drake's farewell shines
Naughty Dog's final chapter in the Uncharted series has taken the top spot in the UK on its debut week, beating out Bethesda's Doom reboot. Week one sales are thought to be up by 66 per cent from Uncharted 3. However, it's worth considering that the retail information provided by UKIE and Gfk Chart track doesn't include digital downloads from services such as Steam, potentially underestimating the sales figures for Doom considerably.
Of the recorded sales, 56 per cent were on PS4, 38 on Xbox One and just 5 on PC, indicating that there was a considerable percentage of copies unaccounted for by the results. Elsewhere in the chart, Black Ops III's continued discounting saw it hold on to third place, followed by Ratchet and Clank. Battleborn, last week's number one, fell sharply to twelfth place.
